I've been following kak Aida for quite a year now , I guess? haha
I first discovered her in a facebook video then one day I decided to subscribe to her newsletter in which for every Tuesday, I will receive an email from her, sharing about her views on random topics but most of it, inspirational/ motivational (?) talk about life .
So, I watched this SKY Castle drama in just 3 days . Being a typical me, if I rewatch a certain movie or drama or finishing it in a short amount of time, it's definitely a great drama to follow. Same goes to the books, I won't read it for second time unless the storyline is worth to read.
and years ago, when I was 16 or 17 years old, I would write the drama reviews without any second thought and posted it in this blog but as years passed, I find it quite hard to put in a word of what's exactly in your head and heart.
The drama was full of emotions and raw. So after watching this SKY Castle drama, I've decided to write a review yet it still pending until yesterday, I found kak Aida's video. Everything that I want to write, she was already put in her video.
Being grown up in a typical asian type parents , it is a usual thing to be nagged because of our grades in exam and being compared whenever our siblings/ cousins / relatives / neighbour's children are doing better than us. Being told where you should get enroll in secondary school, which university should you go after graduating from high school, what course you should learn and what kind of job should you pursue after getting your scroll, it's a typical culture and it just getting worst.
"Don't let me down like your sister did during her SPM"
-er I heard it, tho? (well, I'm not a straight A's student, just got 5A's out of 9 subjects)
"Just apply KPLI la so you can be a teacher"
-err you want me to choke the kid to coma if they're not behaving well in class?
" why not you sambung master? "
-who said I don't want to continue my study? Just because I don't do it now, it's not I won't do it at all. Who are you to bother about my future plan?
Try to put yourself in other people shoes are so irrelevant nowadays. You don't need to fit in , in shoes that aren't for you. All you need to do is just take it off . They don’t fit you, and they’re only going to give you blisters. Instead, just try asking them how they’re feeling
and more importantly, listen to what they tell you.
